Our goal at St. Mary's Hospital is to ensure that we are meeting the medical needs of Southern Maryland residents.  Over the last several years, St. Mary's County has grown exponentially.  In response to this increase, we are making every effort to add new specialties to our emerging list of programs.  In fact, our Board of Directors has made medical staff development a priority and is working to identify the areas in which we most need to expand. 

The majority of our medical staff is Board Certified, meaning that they have completed extensive medical training and passed a rigorous examination within their specialty.  This designation demonstrates a solid commitment to their chosen field, and we proudly recognize this accomplishment.
