The Annual Gala
The St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation present its annual Foundation Gala on the Friday before Thanksgiving at the Hollywood Social Hall.
Guests will enjoy an unforgettable evening filled with mystery and intrigue. The Gala is Southern Maryland’s premier formal event for a wonderful cause – our
community Hospital.

Nursing and Allied Health Scholarships
Are you interested in a healthcare career? It takes a very special person to work in the healthcare industry. Clinical knowledge is paired with a deep sense of caring
and compassion. The St. Mary's Hospital Foundation has recognized the need to bring outstanding people into the healthcare industry and help them achieve their educational goals.
With those objectives in mind, the Foundation awards numerous scholarships each year to local students who enter the nursing or allied healthcare fields.
Since 2001, the Foundation has been awarding scholarships to Southern Maryland candidates interested in pursuing a nursing career. In recent years, the Foundation
accepted applications from individuals who were interested in the growing field of allied health. These professionals are involved in many aspects of healthcare, including:
- Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy
- Radiology
- Respiratory Therapy
- Ultrasound
- Laboratory Technology
- and many more!
Each of the scholarships awarded cover payment for tuition, books and fees associated with the degree or certification. Applications for the Foundation Scholarship
will be available during the month of September, and can be picked up in the Human Resources Department of the hospital.
