Joan Gelrud Recognized as a Finalist for Nursing Excellence Award

SMH Vice President Joan Gelrud, Nursing Spectrum Excellence Award Finalist

Congratulations to Vice President Joan Gelrud for being chosen as a finalist in the Nursing Spectrum Excellence Award in the community service category.

Joan has worked in a number of capacities over the past 25 years at St. Mary's Hospital, including head nurse in the Intensive Care Center, patient care supervisor, clinical specialist, director of Nursing Resources, director of Clinical Resource Management and her most recent role as vice president. She and her family have strong ties to the community and do a lot of work to benefit the region. She works with the St. Mary's County Housing Authority, Community Development Corporation and the Human Services Council.
